Professional graphic market may be pleased by the new NVIDIA's Quadro M6000 graphic card. In comparison with preceding M6000 model with 12GB memory, the new version is equipped with the enormous 24 GB GDDR5 memory.
NVIDIA has introduced the new version of Quadro M6000 graphic card that is equipped with extraordinary 24 GB of GDDR5 memory. There was only 12GB version of this card until now. Quadro M6000 uses 384-bit memory bus and it provides an enormous 317GB/s memory bandwidth thanks to 6.6GHz frequency. Competitive solution from AMD provided higher capacity till today thanks to FirePro W9100 card with 16 GB memory, now it is overcome.
M6000 has got powerful NVIDIA Maxwell chip that contains 3072 CUDA cores and promises 7 TFLOPs performance. Maximal power consumption of this card is 250 W. The card can be inserted into PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot on a motherboard. There are four DisplayPort 1.2 ports and one DVI-I dual-link connector. DisplayPort provides support for resolutions up to 4096×2160 pixels at 60 Hz. DVI-I DL supports resolutions up to 2560×1600 pixels at 60 Hz and DVI-I SL may provide resolution up to 1920×1200 pixels at 60 Hz.
Quadro M6000 supports the following technologies: Shader Model 5.0, OpenGL 4.5, DirectX 12.0, Vulkan 1.0, CUDA, DirectCompute, OpenCL, and SLI. The price should be similar to 12GB version of the card, which costs approximately $5000.
